General DescriptionThe NOSS Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing assessments, health screenings, health counseling, treatment of minor injuries or ailments, medication administration, and referral services for more in‑depth medical care under the direct clinical supervision of the school health coordinator or registered nurse (RN). The position is overnight, located at one of five outdoor school sites, and may be assigned toार्ट provide health services to numerous students across various campsites, with assignments changing in response to student health needs.

- A. Provide direct care using school health protocols and individualized health plans (IHPs) established by the RN supervisor or medical advisor.
- B. Administer medication to students according to board policy and district procedures.
- C. Carry out mandatory screening programs, collect data, and complete required'assurance reports. tutkimus
- D. Collaborate with campus principal, school counselor, teachers, parents, food service, and other staff regarding the health needs of the general population and those students with identified health conditions as directed by the supervising RN.
- E. Communicate with parents regarding individual students as directed by the school nurse (RN).
- F. Participate in ARD meetings of Students with identifiable health needs when the RN is unavailable, and collaborate with appropriate staff on implementation of health‑related IEP items.
- G. Distribute information on health‑related topics to faculty or staff as needed.
- H. Provide guidance to unlicensed assistive personnel or other school staff on health‑_located tasks as directed by the RN.
- I. Maintain accurate and confidential student health records, including immunization, medication administration, and treatment records.
- J. Compile, file, and maintain all required reports and documents.
- K. Comply with federal and state laws, Oregon Health Authority rules, State Board of Education rules, and NWRESD board policy.
- L. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
This position is overnight, requiring the employee to live on‑site during the work week Monday‑Friday. Room and board are provided. The program operates at multiple sites near Vernonia, Salem, Clo aest, Rockaway Beach, and Welches. Employees will be compensated машии hours per week; the schedule varies from Monday‑Friday бериш or Sunday‑Thursday. Due to the seasonal camp‑based nature, the position is exempt from state overtime wage regulations.
