The Materials Specialist is responsible for managing material flow, and supply continuity to support factory operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for materials planning and inventory control, working cross-functionally to ensure production schedules are met while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support material planning and execution to support short- and long-term production schedules
- Analyze demand forecasts, production plans, and bills of material to ensure material availability
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and shortages
- Serve as escalation point for material shortages, supplier delays, and production disruptions
- Action "Keep the Business Running" inventory transactions ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Utilizing Intel Engineering database to create new Intel part numbers for factory Bill of Material creation
- Ensure standard costs are loaded to SAP Master Data for individual part numbers
- Generate costed Bill of Materials as requested by Program Managers
- Partner with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to align materials strategy

This is an Intel Contract Employee (ICE) position and relocation will not be provided. This is a 12-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension. Extension is subject to mutual agreement between the candidate and the business.
Qualifications:
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel's immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in the following:
- Materials management, inventory control, and manufacturing operations
- Supporting factory or production environments
- Microsoft Office Suite
- ERP/MRP systems, specifically SAP/S4 Hana
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization strategies
- Prior experience leading projects or mentoring team members
- APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar credentials a plus
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make inventory and planning decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with cross functional/cross geo teams as well as Senior Managers
- Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced manufacturing settings
