JOB SUMMARY

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for improving business performance by identifying, designing, and delivering process and system enhancements that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, strengthen compliance, and increase operational efficiency across AGC Electronics America. This role works in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional stakeholders to understand how work is performed, define improved future-state processes, and translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions using technology, streamlined workflows, and data-driven decision making.

The BSA leads initiatives from discovery through implementation and adoption, including requirements definition, project planning, stakeholder alignment, testing, training, and measurement of outcomes. The BSA partners closely with the ERP and Data Solutions Engineer (ERP and data platform owner), MIS team members, and external vendors to ensure solutions align with approved business processes, internal controls, security requirements, and sustainability standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

Identify opportunities for process and system improvement across Operations, Quality, Engineering, Materials, and administrative functions, with a focus on reducing manual work, re-entry, delays, and errors.

Perform structured discovery and needs analysis using interviews, workshops, job shadowing, and review of SOPs, forms, and system data to document current-state workflows and pain points.

Define future-state processes and translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications suitable for configuration, automation, integration, or vendor implementation.

Establish and maintain a prioritized improvement backlog, including intake, triage, sizing, sequencing, and transparent status reporting aligned to business value and resource capacity.

Lead end-to-end delivery for assigned initiatives, including scope definition, project planning, risk and dependency management, stakeholder communication, and coordination of internal and external resources.

Partner with the ERP and Data Solutions Engineer to evaluate solution options, confirm feasibility, align on data standards, assess system impacts, and coordinate build, release, and support transitions.

Ensure solutions support compliance needs, including appropriate approvals, audit trails, record retention, segregation of duties considerations, and documentation required for internal controls and ISO-related processes.

Support analysis and improvement of data flow and information handoffs between systems and teams, including defining data mapping needs, validation rules, and operational ownership for exception handling.

Use Excel, SQL, and Power BI to perform analysis, establish baselines, identify root causes, develop meaningful KPIs, and validate outcomes after implementation.

Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, execution support, defect tracking, and business sign-off.

Drive adoption by developing training and communications, updating SOPs and work instructions as needed, and supporting the business through change and stabilization.

Create and maintain process and solution documentation sufficient to support sustainability, auditability, and knowledge transfer.

Collaborate with MIS team members to align solutions to company standards for security, access, data governance, and operational support.

Perform other related duties within the employee's capabilities as needed to support MIS and company objectives.
