L2 Technican
Contract
We’re looking for a L2 Technician with One of our direct clients at Hillsboro, OR. This is a 12+ Months contract and onsite role
Services Scope / Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot server hardware issues, identifying and isolating root causes in coordination with remote Network and System Administrators.
- Coordinate procurement of replacement components, perform hardware installation, and manage return shipment of defective parts to vendors.
- Execute server firmware and BIOS upgrades to ensure systems run on approved and supported versions.
- Configure server IP addresses and default access credentials in line with standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with Network Administrators to resolve server-related issues, including:
- Cable replacement or re-routing
- Optics replacement on server and switch ports
- Installation of upgraded server and network hardware components
- Temporarily rack, stack, and cable servers or network switches to enable remote access for configuration and validation activities.
- Provide hands‑on, on‑site support to Network Administrators for ad hoc server and switch‑related requests.
- Perform structured cabling of servers and network devices according to approved wiring diagrams and validate connectivity with Network Administrators.
- Conduct physical inspections and audits of servers, components, and consumables to ensure inventory accuracy and operational readiness.
The national base pay range below is a good‑faith estimate of what our client may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Client's assessment of the candidates knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $80,000 - $85,000
