UST is searching for a Lab Support Tech who will assemble and disassemble systems, boards, and components such as motherboards, CPUs, memory, and power supplies.

• Perform physical setup of racks, power connections, cabling, and peripheral installations.
• Support BIOS, BMC, CPLD, and firmware updates and assist in system bring-up and smoke testing.
• Driver and network installation and configuration. (LINUX, Windows).
• Maintain lab infrastructure including test benches, power strips, tools, and network connectivity.
• Conduct hardware-level troubleshooting and component replacement under engineering guidance.
• Support environmental, thermal, or functional tests and collect basic validation data.

• Experience in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in hardware assembly, rack setup, and cable management.
• Basic knowledge of operating system installation (Windows/Linux) and driver install/setup.
• Proficient with Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with firmware flashing tools (e.g., Dediprog, BAT scripts, OS utilities).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication, teamwork, and documentation abilities.

• Experience supporting semiconductor validation or platform bring-up labs.
• Familiarity with lab asset management and tracking systems.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python or Power Shell) for automating repetitive lab tasks.
• Knowledge of network configuration (DHCP/Static IP) and remote management tools.

• Experience or strong interest in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Architecture.
• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, work on lab benches and handle ESD-sensitive components safely.
• Ability to stand while working up to 80% of the time.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range: $34,000 - $51,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits.

Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.
