Data Center Technician (Night Shift)

Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Wednesday–Friday & Alternate Saturdays

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to provide hands‑on (Smart Hands) support in a fast‑paced data center environment. This role focuses on rack & stack, cabling, server/network hardware support, and incident/request resolution in coordination with remote Tier 2/3 teams.

• Rack, stack, cable, de‑install, and remove server and network equipment
• Install and manage copper and fiber cabling with strong cable management practices
• Provide physical data center support for incidents, service requests, landings, and decoms
• Assist remote teams with console access, configuration, and connectivity testing
• Perform hardware troubleshooting, part replacement, and basic configuration
• Maintain asset tracking, documentation, inventory control, and safety standards
• Support backup/media management tasks as required

• 4–5 years experience in data center, site support, or infrastructure technician roles
• 3–5 years experience with rack & stack and server/network hardware
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling (Cat5/6, fiber – MM/SM, LC/SC)
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019/2022 installation & troubleshooting
• Hands‑on experience with servers (DL360/380 Gen8–Gen
  10 preferred) and networking hardware
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work in hot/cold data center environments

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)

• VMware vSphere experience
• Failover/NLB cluster knowledge
• Cleanroom or large enterprise data center experience

This is a hands‑on, overnight role requiring strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under tight SLAs.
