This position requires employees to be physically present in the specified office on a full-time basis to ensure success in fulfilling responsibilities.

• Perform basic hardware diagnostic and troubleshooting of servers. Escalate complex issues to Senior Data Center Technicians as necessary.
• Troubleshoot basic Linux OS level issues on all servers.
• Install new SSDs and NVMe drives into existing servers.
• Assist Linked In engineers in troubleshooting all auto-build (Linux Kickstart) nodes that do not build properly (stragglers).
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues at the physical layer (port flapping, port down, link issues, etc.).
• Resolve manually-generated tickets through cross-functional collaboration across diverse teams.
• Identify, tag, and prepare server nodes for decommissioning and coordinate with a third-party ITAM vendor.
• Assist with hardware installations outside quarterly growth scope.
• Respond to system problems on a 24x7 basis and participate in on-call rotation.

• Assist Level 3 Data Center Technicians in OS and network troubleshooting.
• Ensure data center house rules are followed and report concerns to leadership.
• Maintain data center cleanliness and report cleanliness issues to leadership.

• 4+ years in a Data Center Engineering role
• 4+ years of network cabling experience
• 4+ years of Linux troubleshooting experience
• 4+ years of server hardware troubleshooting experience

• Experience with ticket systems like JIRA, Salesforce, Service Now
• Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA A+ or similar
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with networking protocols and equipment (switches, routers)
• Experience using fiber testing equipment and understanding complex network mapping

• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes

• $40-$46.48/hr (W2-Non Exempt)
