** Key Responsibilities
*** Provide on-site support for installation, upgrades, calibration, maintenance, and repair of metrology and inspection tools in compliance with Onto Innovation standards and service agreements.
* Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues independently or in collaboration with engineering teams.
* Manage escalations and critical customer situations effectively.
* Act as the primary liaison between the factory and customers for performance data collection, reliability analysis, and satisfaction tracking.
* Prepare detailed Field Service Reports (FSRs) documenting tool performance, issue resolution, and installation updates.
* Deliver feedback to engineering teams on serviceability, reliability, and installation metrics to influence future product development.
* Support beta programs at customer sites and engineering centers.
* Provide technical phone support and participate in on-call rotations as required.
** Qualifications
* **
* Education:

*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
* * Alternatively:
* Associate degree or technical certification with
** 5+ years of relevant semiconductor field service experience**.
** Technical Expertise:
*** Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems in semiconductor or manufacturing environments.
* Working knowledge of semiconductor process and/or metrology inspection equipment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; electronics experience preferred.
* Familiarity with semiconductor safety, ergonomics, and yield requirements.
* Basic software troubleshooting skills.
