Are you an experienced System Handover Engineer with large scale Engineering project experience? Have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement? With strong organisational skills to plan, coordinate and deliver Handover activities in a challenging fast‑paced environment?

The System Handover Engineer is a key role in ensuring delivery of all construction and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package in accordance with the overall Project schedule. The Engineer will ensure Handover and delivery is in accordance with all safety, quality, time parameters to meet the needs of the Project. The System Handover Engineer reports directly to the OCC Manager and is responsible for the direction of activities associated with the full life‑cycle delivery of a contract or work package assigned to them.

You will be part of a team that is responsible to coordinate and deliver systems and work scopes from the Installation programme to the Commissioning programme and onwards to the Operations team.

As a member of the Commissioning team, you’ll play a key role in the Delivery and handover of systems and equipment which are at the heart of one of the UK’s most significant engineering projects. Working closely with the project equipment installers and completions group, you’ll help deliver systems and equipment that are critical to the plant’s operation. The nature of the role is to provide support to the OCC Manager and Senior Handover Engineer along with the wider OCC team while also working independently in some areas to ensure the effective delivery of Systems and equipment from the Installation programme, while recognising and managing any issues, delays or impacts on the wider Project schedule. Your ability to build effective relationships across programme boundaries will be extremely important – particularly with the Completions Team and the MEH Alliance.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the System Handover process for all systems at the HPC Nuclear Power Station
• Monitoring and driving Quality Record reporting / evidence from Contract Partners
• Being part of a review group Reviewing end of Erection Status Reports (EESR)
• Working with the Installation Handover Manager to Coordinate system walkdowns to ensure completeness
