Technical expert who delivers outstanding service in the design and execution of solid solutions. Leads, develops and empowers the Kansas Maintenance Team to efficiently repair & maintain equipment, maintain facilities, and to create sustainable improvements in a way that meets or exceeds internal and external customer expectations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You identify, align and execute complex and multi-disciplined project initiatives. You complete projects to specifications on budget and on time.
- You apply your knowledge of engineering principles to research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements.
- You oversee installation, preventative maintenance, lock-out tag-out procedures, and all maintenance and repair tasks, to ensure machines are functioning efficiently.
- You collaborate with a variety of managers, contractors, and equipment and material suppliers regarding various engineering and maintenance tasks/projects.
- You routinely evaluate the technical needs of the plant and equipment, ensuring the equipment is functioning in accordance with service requirements. You also provide technical information to others.
- You supervise and empower the Kansas maintenance team to make decisions while challenging them to find better methods and robust solutions. You ensure that for every core task in your team's skills matrix, at least two people are fully competent.
- You use internal systems to ensure that we maintain an adequate inventory of critical parts, and to track scheduled maintenance on equipment. You order parts as needed, and ensure timely delivery of these parts
Requirements
TOOLKIT/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- You are proficient with CAD and/or engineering graphics tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and other digital technologies.
- You are able to visualize, articulate and solve both complex and simple problems and concepts using sensible, information-based decision-making.
- You have strong project management, engineering, written and verbal communication skills.
- You have excellent leadership, collaboration and interpersonal skills. You are able to develop a unique approach based on a specific situation or a specific team's needs.
- You have an engineering degree and have a minimum of two years of engineering experience.
