Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T1969) – Part-time

Starting hourly rate: $16.25 USD per hour. Pay range: $16.25 USD - $24.40 USD per hour.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with them in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues and improve the guest experience.
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Know and explain the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Understand and demonstrate how to use Target App features, including Wallet, Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features.
• Handle returns by following prompts and partnering with leadership as needed, in line with Target policies.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area; manage unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal.
• Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for the guest.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) orders, DU returns, and maintain compliance with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage regulations where relevant).
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed.
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance.
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance.
• Ability to remain mobile during a scheduled shift.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
