Support pharmacy teams in delivering operational excellence. As a Technician, you assist patients and customers to deliver an exceptional experience, ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, and provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations.

• Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Provide positive patient experiences by showing empathy, offering immunizations, and solving or escalating patient problems.
• Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law and directed by pharmacy leadership.
• Embrace a growth mindset, seek continuous clinical and technical knowledge, and contribute to a high‑performing team.
• Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, and volunteer to travel to stores as required.
• Understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, and ethical principles. Comply with CVS policies and procedures to ensure patient safety, controlled substance dispensing, and record‑keeping.
• Deliver additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point‑of‑care testing, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification.

• Any applicable state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
• If the state board does not mandate a minimum age, be at least 16 years of age.
• If the state board does not mandate a minimum educational requirement, have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program.
• State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
• Regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Strong customer service and team orientation; actively look for ways to help people and respond appropriately to patient reactions.
• Excellent communication skills; active listening, verbal and written interaction.
• Mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations.
• Problem resolution skills in challenging patient or colleague interactions.
• Physical demands: lifting, scanning, bagging, reaching overhead, repetitive finger work, stoop, visual acuity; lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
• Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager.

• 1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy,, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to work in multiple store locations to meet business needs.
