Description

As the Mechanical Design Bid Engineer, you will be involved in HVAC and Plumbing system design, designing computations including loads, air and piping distribution and sizing, equipment selection, specification preparation, field work (both design investigation and construction observation), design review and correspondence with clients, colleagues, owners, and contractors.
WhatAre We Looking For?
- Lead the development of design layouts for commercial and industrial mechanical systems in alignment with established design objectives.
- Prepare and oversee the creation of schematics for a wide range of mechanical systems.
- Coordinate closely with all disciplines to deliver fully integrated designs, including reviewing and providing direction on the work of others.
- Perform on-site investigations to verify existing conditions and inform design decisions.
- Maintain and apply a strong working knowledge of current mechanical codes, standards, and industry practices.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with peer-level personnel across disciplines and with manufacturing sales representatives.
- Become proficient in, and contribute to the preparation of, general and mechanical specifications.
- Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $120,000 to $150,000, with potential for additional bonus incentives.

- Demonstrated experience in consultative mechanical engineering environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Working familiarity with system-specific materials, components, and mechanical systems.
- Solid foundational knowledge of higher-level mathematics as it relates to engineering applications.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and resolve complex engineering problems.
- Practical working knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD.
