Our Teller Cashiering software is an industry-leading solution that automates and streamlines the cashiering and reconciliation processes for Local Government. Can/Am serves clients across North America, with staff operating in the following locations:

Can/Am is looking for a dedicated and thorough Sales Representative with at least five years of sales experience to drive revenue growth and expand our client base within the public sector market, ideally with a minimum of two-years working in government sales.
Can/Am is embarking on an ambitious growth phase, expanding our presence across North America and deepening relationships with local government entities. You will be a key player in identify and developing new client accounts, building lasting relationships, working alongside a committed group of professionals.
In addition, you will execute the full sales cycle, contribute to sales strategy development, and represent Can/Am at industry conferences. You will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing. This position would cover a number of central states (15) ranging from Texas to Minnesota. Eight of those states already have Teller clients.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a direct Account Executive position
- Sales experience in the public sector market strongly preferred
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time
- Residence in Texas highly preferred
- Execute full sales cycle from prospecting through closing
- Identify and develop new clients for SaaS products and services
- Research and pursue sales opportunities and new business development
- Occasionally conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients if Sales Solution Consultants are unavailable
- Prepare proposals and assist in contract negotiations
- Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals
- Represent the company at various sales conferences and industry events
- Prepare and deliver sales materials, exhibits, and presentations
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular sales reports
- Build positive relationships with partners and distributors
- Provide feedback on market trends and competitive landscape
- Year 1 Performance Targets:
- Revenue Generation:
Achieve a minimum of $1M in new Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) within the first 12 months - New Client Acquisition:
Close 10 to 12 new client contracts - Sales Pipeline Development:
Maintain a healthy pipeline of at least 3x quota in qualified opportunities - Sales Cycle Efficiency:
Progress opportunities through the sales cycle - Activity Metrics:
Conduct minimum of 15 qualified prospect meetings per quarter - Proposal Success Rate:
Convert at least 30% of leads to closed deals - Territory Development:
Establish presence and build relationships in assigned geographic territory - Build relationships with the Can/Am Partners in your territory
