All About On-DemandAs an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you can work as much or as little as you like. Your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule. You will not be included on the posted weekly schedule; instead, you will pick up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts you do not respond to attempts at contact, your employment may be terminated. Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within five months, your employment with Target will be administratively terminated.

Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage, and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.
Role OverviewAs a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same. The following responsibilities are typical:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
- Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
- Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events.
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
- Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and the other features and offerings within the Target App.
- Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with immediate leaders as needed.
- Partner with leaders as needed to de‑escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience within Target’s policies and procedures.
- Deliver easy and accurate service to all Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area (including gathering abandoned items, baskets, and hangers).
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training.
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive‑up (DU) Orders, DU Returns, and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, including compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
- Support Cash Office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
- All other duties based on business needs.
