Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management (i.e. Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management)
  • Previous experience with procurement processes and regulations under DoD (FAR, DFAR, TINA, and/or ITAR)
  • Knowledge of SAP/P2P Purchasing System, PO Folders, procedures
  • Experience with management of Cost, Technical, Schedule, Risk and Opportunity
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Role Overview
This role is a Subcontract Manager responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule, and technical performance for the Digital Processor hardware portfolios and other hardware portfolios as needed. You will manage subcontracts throughout their life cycle — from proposal phases, through execution, full delivery of the work product, and into closeout across multiple programs and Lockheed Martin lines of business.

Daily Responsibilities
You will develop and execute contractual relationships with our supplier base and internal stakeholders. You will be the face of the Subcontract Management Team, helping resolve complex supplier performance issues and shaping hardware strategy. You’ll drive improved performance across your portfolio through strategic planning, lean thinking, and continuous improvement within the Space Supply Chain Enterprise Strategic Sourcing organization. You are responsible for subcontract lifecycle activities on multiple programs, with specific support to the Space ESS organization.

Location/Work Arrangement
This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near the Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado, and is expected to work in the office.

  • Demonstrated subcontract experience including development of RFPs, complex statements of work, proposal evaluation criteria, and source selection criteria
  • Previous experience supporting LM Space Payload product portfolios
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships

  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive engagement and communication with internal and external customers
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to interface with suppliers and customers

  • Strong strategic communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) to engage peers, suppliers, stakeholders, and program executives
