Pay$22.80 - $29.64 / hour, dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Responsibilities- Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in productivity and quality management. Serve as a positive role model and promote teamwork and cooperation.
- Assist with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promote situational decision‑making/problem solving. Assist team with ordering of supplies for the department and monitor staff production and quality metrics.
- Perform responsibilities of underlying job. Take responsibility for or provide guidance to team members on handling complex or novel issues.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must work in fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Minimum Required
Education:
High School diploma or GED. Preferred:
Medical Terminology course. - Required Licensure/Certification:
Certified as a CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician). Preferred:
One of the following additional certifications:
Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL) or Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) or Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) by HSPA or CBSPD equivalent. - Minimum Experience:
2 years of sterile processing experience.
