Job Overview

Highlands Behavioral Health System (86‑bed acute care psychiatric hospital) offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and seniors. The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) manages the immediate milieu of patients, facilitates group therapy, aids with activities of daily living, and assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment under the direction of the Charge Nurse. $4,000 sign‑on bonus is available with commitment.

Available shifts:
Day, Evening (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). Shift differential pay:
Weekdays (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM): $3.25;
Weekdays (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM): $5.00;
Weekends (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM): $2.00;
Weekends (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM): $5.00;
Weekends (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM): $7.00. Retention bonus: $4,000 after completion of sign‑on bonus.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred.
• Two or more years of education focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine or related field or completion of EMT, CNA, Medical Assistant, Security Training program or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.
