Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Help customers load bags into their cars when possible.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, and act with honesty and integrity.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Retail experience preferred but not necessary
