About the role

We're looking for a Caregiving 'superstar' to join our team as our 'Resident Wellness Support' at our Village 'Highlands' in Highland Park, East Auckland. Ideally with a background in Caregiving, the Resident Wellness Support reports to the Assistant Village Manager as a part of our Village team, supporting our independent living residents with their daily cares including cleaning and laundry, supporting in the communal dining area during meal service, and being 'First Responder' support if required.

This role is working part-time; 24 hours week as follows:

Thursdays 5.00pm-9.30pm

Fridays 5.00pm-9.30pm

Saturdays 1.30pm-9.30pm

Sundays 1.30pm-9.30pm

So, you must be available to work every weekend.

Some of the great things you will be doing
  • First Responder: able to respond calmly to emergency calls from residents while on shift.
  • Assisting the residents in the communal dining areas and assisting the kitchen clearing tables
  • Housekeeping support- provide support to maintain a safe & clean environment in public areas
  • Cleaning residents' rooms and doing their laundry as required
  • Supporting our residents to live their best life while remaining as independent as possible
About you

We are looking for an outgoing person who has a passion for the health industry and aged care living. Someone who is respectful, has great communication skills and can use their initiative. Other things that will help include:

  • Current First Aid Certificate, although training is provided
  • Patience and willingness to deliver an outstanding service to our residents
  • Energetic reliable and friendly customer service approach
