Service and Engagement Team Leader – Target

Role Overview- Guest service fundamentals and building a guest‑first team culture.
- Problem solving and resolution.
- Retail business fundamentals: sales trends, inventory, pricing and promotions.
- Planning daily/weekly workload to support service and sales goals.
- Leading a team of hourly team members: interviewing, developing, coaching and retaining talent.
- Demonstrates inclusivity and equity.
- Leads Guest Advocates, Service Advocates, Front‑of‑Store attendants to exceed service expectations.
- Onboards and develops team through coaching and practice.
- Uses sales data and guest insights to plan workload and achieve sales goals.
- Supports Target Loyalty Programs.
- Follows up on training completion and continuous education.
- Engages in career development conversations.
- Recognizes and reinforces guest‑service behaviors.
- Maintains accountability via performance management.
- De‑escalates guest concerns.
- Communicates up‑to‑date promotions and events.
- Evaluates candidates and builds team.
- Adheres to schedule covering all shift types.
- Facilitates pick‑up and drive‑up orders.
- Ensures compliance with ethical conduct and safety.
- Models security and merchandise protection processes.
- Supports emergencies and compliance.
- All other duties as needed.
- Enjoy interacting and helping guests.
- Can thrive in a fast‑moving, physically demanding role.
- Open to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays.
Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude.
- Effective communication skills.
- Remain focused in fast‑paced environment.
- Cash register operations and cash handling.
- Lift merchandise up to 44 lbs without assistance.
- Climb ladders, maintain mobile status.
