Wednesday 2pm-8pm, Thursday & Friday 8am-8pm, Alternating Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm.

As a Medical Assistant (MA) at Prompt Med Urgent Care, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, efficient care to our local communities. You’ll work closely with providers and front desk reception to support clinical functions, ensure smooth patient flow, and help deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesAt Prompt Med Urgent Care, our Medical Assistants are hands-on team players who keep the clinic running smoothly and patients feeling cared for. Here’s a look at what your day might include:
Welcome and prep patients by taking vitals, reviewing their visit reason and medical history, and entering info into the EMR.
Support providers during exams, procedures, and treatments — from setting up the room to assisting during care.
Perform routine tests and procedures
, such as flu tests, EKGs, ear flushes, injections, and blood draws (phlebotomy).
Keep things moving by stocking, cleaning, and prepping exam rooms between visits.
Educate patients by explaining procedures and answering basic questions.
Follow up by calling patients with test results and scheduling any imaging or specialty referrals.
Pitch in wherever needed — whether that’s answering phones, helping in triage, or assisting with general clinic upkeep.
Work flexible shifts
, including evenings and weekends, as part of a shared schedule.

QualificationsEducation:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Certification:
Certified Medical Assistant or CCMA Certification (required)
Experience:
1-3 years in a physicians office or ambulatory setting (preferred)
Language:
Bilingual, Spanish (preferred)
