POSITION SUMMARY:
The Store Consultant consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all patrons, using consultative skills to anticipate needs, suggest alternatives and offer solutions. This role knowledge spans the Store’s business, including printing, signs & graphics, and shipping. Responsibilities include taking orders, coordinating Store activities, providing pricing and product information, recommending suitable Fed Ex Office products, operating & maintaining varied equipment, moving boxes and gear, stocking materials, controlling the production queue, handling complex projects, managing retail supply, and prioritising tasks throughout the shift.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

People- Follow supervisor directions and support fellow workers in Store operations
- Assist in training new Store teammates
- Employ consultative behaviors in a retail setting to uncover each customer’s unique requirement
- Offer expertise on printing, signs & graphics, and shipping lines, and recommend Fed Ex Office products and services matching those needs
- Provide outstanding service by using consultative techniques to predict, suggest alternatives and devise solutions that meet the customer’s demand
- Resolve all customer issues swiftly and to their satisfaction
- Take complex orders via the order system, giving accurate pricing data
- Prepare parcels for shipping: wrap items, place in containers, weigh and affixlabels
- Set up & operate printing, binding & related machines using customer‑supplied media and documents
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly retail Store environment
- Keep customer data confidential and treat documents, media and packages with care
- Process financial transactions on the Point of Sale terminal, handle cash and make change
- Clean, repair and restock all retail Store printing & shipping equipment and supplies to ensure optimal performance
- Stay up‑to‑date on Store merchandising material and keep all product and signage displayed properly
- Pre‑empt errors & waste proactively
- Complete required financial paperwork; may help with daily sales, close‑outs and bank deposits
- Follow Fed Ex Office Standard Operating Procedures and all related legal, HR, safety, customer‑service and security policies
- Handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Seek opportunities to upgrade knowledge and skills within the Store
- Operate effectively with minimal supervision
- Adhere to all Fed Ex Office & Retail Store standards as stated in the team‑member handbook
- Perform any additional duties as required or needed
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Minimum six months of specialized experience
- Excellent verbal and Written communication skills
- Stand whole shift (except meal & rest)
- Move & lift up to 55 lbs
- Bend/ twist at waist & knees consistently
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors & teammates consistently
- Execute work requiring cooperation & instruction consistently
- Operate in a fast‑paced environment under high pressure consistently
- Maintain focus & concentration for long periods consistently
- Work with minimal supervision consistently
- Report regularly on time and maintain defined business hours (including regular attendance or shift staffing)

The compensation range given here is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role at all potential locations. If multiple job levels are included, the salary data represents job‑level minimum and the job‑level maximum. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay for the location for this job and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
Employees may qualify for additional pay, premiums, or bonus. Company offers eligible employees health, vision & dental insurance, retirement, tuition reimbursement.
Pay: $17.00 – $19.98/hr
