Fire & Security Engineer

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is looking for an experienced engineer to join our Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team. You will ensure effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls, and additional small works, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.
• Document and record all work in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of technical aspects of the role through company‑initiated training.
• Conduct fault‑finding, accident reporting and RAMS where required.
• Work to high levels of health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the fire & security system industry, carrying out PPM, reactive calls and small works.
• Experience with service tests and inspections to relevant standards/codes.
• Strong communication skills and basic Microsoft Word and Excel literacy.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, preferably in an engineering field.
