Got People are recruiting for an experienced Electrical / Production Engineer to join a well-established electronics manufacturing company specialising in PCB assembly and electronic product production.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on engineer with PCB manufacturing experience who enjoys working across production, testing and process improvement within a modern electronics environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and high‑quality production of electronic devices, supporting the process from PCB design review through to final assembly and despatch.
Key Responsibilities- Review client PCB designs including Gerber files and SMT pick‑and‑place data and translate them into clear production guidelines.
- Create and maintain detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Support PCB programming, testing and production processes.
- Design and build simple production test jigs and programming harnesses.
- Operate and support surface mount pick and place machines, ideally Siemens Siplace.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues and manufacturing faults.
- Troubleshoot electronic faults down to component level.
- Monitor equipment performance and escalates technical issues when required.
- Collaborate with engineering and product design teams to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
- Proven experience within electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly.
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits and components.
- Experience using Gerber viewers such as GC-Power place or similar.
- Knowledge of SMT production processes and pick and place machinery.
- Excellent problem‑solving and fault‑finding skills.
- High attention to detail and quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- 40 hours per week
- Monday 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Tuesday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm
Competitive salary up to £55,000 depending on experience plus a comprehensive benefits package. This is a permanent position offering a long‑term opportunity within a specialist electronics manufacturing business.
