Machine Shop Manufacturing Environment

My client is a global engineering business and they are seeking a reliable and hands-on Material Handler to support our busy Machine Shop. This role is key to ensuring the safe receipt, storage, preparation and supply of raw materials and finished components to maintain smooth production flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, check and book in raw materials

• Load/unload deliveries (including forklift operation)

• Create shop packs and supply materials to production

• Operate band saw and shot blasting equipment

• Carry out bead blasting, sanding and finished part preparation

• Maintain stock accuracy and organised stores area

• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations

• Report maintenance issues, breakdowns and safety incidents

Candidate background:

• Experience in a stores, warehouse or manufacturing environment

• Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)

• Strong understanding of safe material handling practices

• Good communication skills

• Team player with a proactive, flexible attitude

• High attention to detail and strong work ethic
