Stores Person

Location: High Wycombe, UK
Hours: 36.5 hours per week
Duration: 3 months

An established and growing engineering and manufacturing business, specialising in the design and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical systems, is looking to recruit a Stores Person to support its operations team.

This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and components are received, stored, and issued accurately, helping to keep manufacturing and engineering activities running smoothly. The position would suit someone who is organised, reliable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.

• Receiving, checking, and accurately recording incoming deliveries
• Storing materials and equipment in a safe, organised, and systematic manner
• Picking, packing, and issuing stock to internal teams as required
• Maintaining accurate stock records and completing regular stock counts
• Keeping the stores area clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety procedures
• Reporting discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods promptly
• Assisting with stock ordering and inventory control
• Supporting colleagues and other departments when needed

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory role (preferred but not essential)
• Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
• Ability to follow processes and work methodically
• Basic computer literacy for stock control (e.g. spreadsheets or inventory systems)
• Physically fit and able to move and lift stock safely
• Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
