WF Tech are recruiting for a long‑established precision engineering company specialising in high‑tolerance components for the F1, motor sport and high‑performance engineering sectors. As demand and project volume continue to grow, the company is expanding its machining capability and investing in new talent. With a young, ambitious team and exciting development plans, this is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Miller.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced 3‑Axis CNC Miller Programmer with the capability to take full responsibility for programming, setting and operating CNC machining centres. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, problem‑solving and contributing to the development of machining methods and workflow.
You will be producing complex, tight‑tolerance components for F1 and motor sport customers. Experience with CAD/CAM software is highly desirable—ideally Fusion 360 or Visi, though any CAM experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities- Program, set and operate 3‑axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain.
- Use CAD/CAM software to create effective, efficient machining strategies.
- Manufacture high‑precision, close‑tolerance components for F1 and motor sport applications.
- Work from detailed engineering drawings and technical data.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams on new and ongoing projects.
- Perform quality checks using standard inspection equipment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and support best‑practice machining methods.
- Maintain a clean, efficient and safe working environment.
- Skilled CNC Miller Programmer with experience programming, setting and operating 3‑axis machines.
- CAD/CAM experience essential — Fusion 360, Visi or similar.
- Strong background in precision machining (motor sport, F1, aerospace or high‑end engineering).
- Able to work independently and take ownership of machining tasks and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with a quality‑focused approach.
- Positive, proactive and eager to contribute to a growing, dynamic team.
- Day shift, Monday‑Friday.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
