Opportunity

We have an exciting opening for a Regional Commercial Lead to join our Major Projects Team in the UK Water Business. This national role can be based in any UK office.

This position offers the chance to play a crucial role in expanding our Major Projects portfolio, contributing to our ambitious growth plans.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a healthy, profitable and sustainable Major Projects business, managing risk while driving growth.
  • Oversee the commercial elements of bids and significant standalone Major Projects, developing competitive commercial proposals with partner organisations.
  • Collaborate with Regional Directors, Major Projects Market Area Leads, other Commercial Leads and the Senior Leadership Team to develop, implement and improve commercial strategies that support sustainable business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads, reviewing performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Serve as a key escalation route for the resolution of Major Project issues.
  • Demonstrate visible, engaged Health & Safety leadership, focusing on performance and participation in leading indicator activity to protect the wellbeing of employees, clients, partners and the public.
  • Provide commercial leadership to the leadership group, inspiring and motivating the team to deliver best practice in commercial and risk‑performance management.
Qualifications
  • Qualified with a relevant degree and experienced Commercial Lead.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business analysis skills, able to interpret complex financial systems and reports.
  • Experience in a consultancy environment, with Design & Build experience in the regulated water sector and a proven record with NEC4 contract management practices.
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers and external partners.
  • High degree of self‑management, initiative, reliability and flexibility to deliver excellent service to internal and external clients.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as required.
