Duty Manager

The Boab Tavern is a family-owned local tavern, located in the Eastern suburb of High Wycombe. The tavern features 3 bars, a bistro, TAB facilities, function spaces, 3 beer gardens and a bottle shop.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Duty Manager with strong attention to detail and a passion for customer service to join our management team and assist with day-to-day operations across all areas of the establishment.

This is an ideal position for someone who will bring a positive attitude, be team‑oriented and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

About you…

Have at least one year’s management experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry – particularly in the areas of bar, bistro, functions and bottle shop.

Experience in staff mentoring, training and development.

Must be reliable, trustworthy and have excellent time management skills.

Be able to assist the management team with all aspects of operations and lead by example with a hands‑on approach.

Ability to liaise others to ensure the smooth running of shifts, whilst maintaining high service standards, in a fast‑paced environment and being under pressure.

Have excellent communication skills, a neat presentation and a strong work ethic.

Have flexibility to work a rotating roster across a 7‑day week roster (including public holidays), which will include morning, daytime & evening shifts.

Must hold a valid police clearance, Australian drivers’ licence, WA approved managers’ card, RSA and food handling certificates.

Have or be willing to obtain TAB compliance.

Have Australian working rights.
