Gateway Hydraulics & Hardchrome – High Wycombe WA

Part of the Gateway Group, Gateway Hydraulics & Hardchrome is a locally owned engineering and surface coating specialist operating since 2003. With workshops in High Wycombe and Malaga, we specialise in hydraulic cylinder repair for Mining, Civil, Earthmoving, Construction and Oil & Gas customers.

We’re recruiting Trades Assistants with opportunities at both locations. Reporting to the section Leading Hands you will assist Fitters and Machinists in performing their duties, drive forklifts to load/unload trucks, and general cleaning duties.

Additionally, there are day and night shift positions for Machine Operators to run various process equipment for surface coating applications and surface finishing operations, with training provided.

• Assist tradesmen in setting up work.
• Drive a forklift for loading, unloading, and moving of parts.
• Operate overhead cranes for moving of parts, up to 5 tonne.
• General cleaning of machines and surrounding areas.
• Ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Set up machines and load work pieces.
• Follow procedures and work instructions.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain quality standards.

• Current Drivers License.
• Previous experience working in a machine shop or component repair centre.
• MR or HR vehicle license
