The Role

This is a hands-on Accounts Payable Officer role based at our High Wycombe office, supporting SMS’s own operations and projects. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end accounts payable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices while working closely with procurement, site teams, and the broader finance team.

This role will suit someone who enjoys structure, ownership, and being a key support to operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role in a heavy industry environment
• Experience with month-end and year end processes
• Familiar with compliance with tax regulations, including GST and sales tax filings
• Comfortable processing all employee expense reimbursements and customer payments
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, purchase orders, and reconciliations
• High attention to detail with strong time management skills
• Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with internal stakeholders
