We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong project management skills to join our established team in High Wycombe. This is an interactive, hands-on role leading and developing a small team to provide engineering design, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement to a wide range of air movement products and innovative designs for future requirements.
This role would suit someone with a strong project engineering skills with an electronics or mechanical background that has experience of leading a team in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 09:00 to 17:00.
It is essential that when applying for this role you can demonstrate previous engineering experience, project management, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management- Lead and develop a multidisciplined team through R&D, design and production engineering
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, structure and accountability
- Leadengineeringprojectswithclearstrategicdirectionandeffectiveresourceplanning
- Ensure timelines,budgets,andqualitystandardsareconsistentlymet
- Monitor team performance and support professional development
- Oversee recruitment, training, and succession planning for the engineering team
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping to testing, certification, and manufacturing handover
- Ensure products comply with ventilation, energy efficiency, and safety standards
- Collaborate with product management to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry regulations, building regulations and standards, and environmental and sustainability directives
- Oversee product testing, validation, and certification
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, service providers, testing labs, and certification bodies
- Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent)
- 6+ years’ engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Understanding of relevant manufacturing standards and regulations
- Experience with CAD - Solid Works
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong background in ventilation, HVAC, air handling, or related electromechanical systems
- Experience with CFD analysis, noise reduction techniques, or thermal performance modelling
- Strong technical problem solver with a practical, hands-on approach

- Salary up to £50,000 pa
- 25 days annual leave plus (bank holidays)
