Reality Capture Technician

Job Description

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Reality Capture Technician to undertake reality capture activities across a range of projects using the Leica family of laser scanners and associated digital survey tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate point cloud datasets, registering scan data, and supporting the integration of spatial information into BIM and asset management workflows. This role involves close collaboration with BIM teams, design teams, and project managers to ensure precise and consistent capture of existing site conditions.

• Conduct site-based laser scanning using Leica reality capture equipment (e.g., RTC
  360, BLK series, P-Series), ensuring accurate and complete data collection.
• Perform pre-survey planning, including risk assessments, scanning methodology, and coordination with project teams to understand survey requirements.
• Process, register, and clean point cloud data using Leica Cyclone and other relevant software, ensuring accurate alignment and quality control.
• Produce deliverables including point clouds, Tru View packages, 3D meshes, and survey reports in accordance with project standards and client requirements.
• Maintain, check, and calibrate Leica scanning equipment, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
