Head of Product Development

Are you a senior technology leader passionate about taking complex, high-value products from concept to market?

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Product Development to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of a portfolio of advanced scientific and sensing products used in demanding technical environments. This is a key leadership role, combining strategic ownership with hands‑on technical oversight and people management.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning the product development roadmap and aligning it with business objectives
• Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists
• Driving new product innovation alongside continuous improvement of existing solutions
• Overseeing design, testing, validation, and transition into production
• Managing budgets, timelines, and technical resources
• Collaborating closely with manufacturing, quality, sales, suppliers, and external partners
• Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements

What we’re looking for:

• MSc in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar (PhD advantageous)
• 10+ years’ experience in advanced product development or scientific/engineering environments
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
• Strong background in complex systems, electronics, sensors, or instrumentation
• A track record of delivering products from concept through to production
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills
