Kitchen Assistant

Overview

We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at the Downley site. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Kitchen Assistant will ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of children at lunchtimes under the direction of the appropriate person as identified by the school.

• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school who have varying special needs.
• Assist as directed with all aspects of the preparation of food and beverages to the standards required by the school.
• Make lunchtimes a positive and learning experience for all children and young people.
• Support the team in a Midday Supervisor capacity as per the job description.
• Occasionally support at other sites (cresc, Downley, Studley Green) as required.
• Abide by the health and safety policies and procedures of the school.

• Previous experience in a kitchen or child care setting is not essential.
• Full training will be provided.
• Positive attitude and aptitude to work in this area.

• Working hours:
  
  Monday – Friday, 10:30 am – 1:30 pm.
• Pay: £8,039 – £8,359 per annum (Bank Pay: Range 1b .6‑10).
