# 1-1 Teaching Assistant - Naphill and Walters Ash School
Location:
Hughenden### Overview Naphill and Walters Ash School are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant to initially support pupils in Key Stage 1 with Special Educational Needs in the areas of Communication and Interaction, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health.
Full Time – 32.5 hours a week, (Monday to Friday), term time only (8.30- 3:30), 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2027 Salary:
Range 1 (£23996.00 full time equivalent, pay will be pro rata to reflect the hours above)

We are a collaborative team with a strong commitment to inclusion and to meeting the needs of pupils with SEND. Teaching Assistants are valued as integral to our pupils' progress, and we provide ongoing access CPD, including training in SEND specific approaches and strategies.### About the role
The role requires the individual to support pupils in lessons within the classroom and in small groups. One of the pupils has an EHCP so the Teaching Assistant will be required to implement the relevant provision as set out on the child’s EHCP, including targeted interventions. They will also keep intervention records, monitor progress against targets and liaise with the class teacher and SENDCo so that all key information is available for SEN support plan and EHCP Annual Reviews.
You would also be required to assist the SENDCo with SEN admin as and when needed.### About youKey
Skills required:
· Confidence in liaising with class teachers, parents and outside professionals
· Good level of spoken and written English / Maths
· Knowledge of KS1 Curriculum
· Understanding of Autism and ADHD
· Ability to adapt tasks to meet the needs of the child
· Experience in working with a child with SEN needs . Basic computer literacy skills Desired:
Experience delivering evidence-based interventions. However, training can be provided.
The child will need supervision at break and lunch times when outside. You will therefore be required to have your 30-minute lunch break when the child is in the dining room.### Other information
