An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a specialist works team based in High Wycombe. Working alongside a team of experienced Estimators, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality estimating service, building costs from first principles through to a full sales price.

• Take ownership of tender enquiries and provide a professional, responsive service to clients.
• Ensure estimating enquiries are allocated, priced, and prepared accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Proactively follow up estimates with clients to maximise opportunities and secure orders.

• Receive and manage enquiries allocated by senior team members.
• Measure and take off quantities from drawings where required.
• Scan and review Bills of Quantities when available.
• Issue enquiries for materials and subcontract packages.
• Receive, assess, and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Build up detailed prices using estimating software or Excel spreadsheets.
• Liaise with the sales team to ensure tender presentations are prepared in good time.
• Attend sales meetings as required and follow up on priced projects to secure orders or record outcomes.
• Calculate preliminary costs using Excel-based preliminaries tools.
• Present completed estimates for adjudication by senior management.
• Finalise and submit tender prices following any agreed changes.
• Prepare a monthly prospects schedule for management review.
• Maintain and update the estimating register on at least a weekly basis.

• Strong communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident IT user, particularly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with estimating software is advantageous.
• A minimum of 1 year’s estimating experience within the interior fit-out industry and / or a subcontracting environment is preferred.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Candidates should live within a one-hour commuting distance of the High Wycombe head office.
