Pay Range: $20.40 - $30.60

Education Required: High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years of cooking experience

• Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions
• General knowledge of cleaning methods, food service equipment, and food preparation
• Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor
• Maintain and adhere to safety and sanitation standards
• Basic math skills for scaling recipes; basic cooking skills including safe knife handling
• Knowledge of standard knife cuts and preparation methods
• Ability to demonstrate preparation methods: grilling, frying, baking, steaming, sautéing, braising
• Ability to produce the five mother sauces

• Food preparation across cold food production, baking, grill, prep, entree, vegetable, line, catering; adhere to recipes and basic math for quantities
• Transport goods between storeroom, kitchen, retail, and service equipment
• Sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas; wash dishes by hand or machine
• Assist in recipe testing and development; utilize FIFO rotation, labeling, and dating
• Uphold professional working relationships, teamwork, and departmental standards
• Promote patient and employee safety and quality outcomes
• Take accountability for goals and outcomes; use resources efficiently
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Comply with employee health programs (tuberculin testing, vaccinations)
