We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations and management of residential or commercial properties. This role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of property facilities, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a comprehensive understanding of property management practices, and excellent conflict resolution abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage leasing activities, including property showings, tenant screening, and lease negotiations to maximize occupancy rates.
  • Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure all units and common areas are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards.
  • Administer rent collection processes, including data entry, filing, and resolving payment discrepancies efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and other legal standards.
  • Handle tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts professionally, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Utilize property management software such as Yardi or One Site for data management, reporting, and operational tracking.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to secure quality services at competitive rates.
  • Maintain accurate records related to leasing agreements, legal documentation, and property maintenance activities.
  • Support administrative functions including filing, phone etiquette, and legal administrative tasks related to property operations.
  • Assist in upselling amenities or additional services to tenants to enhance revenue opportunities.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of landlord-tenant law.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and related legal frameworks.
  • Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi or One Site; experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate administrative processes including contracts, legal documentation, data entry, and filing.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with effective conflict management capabilities.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with tenants and vendors while maintaining professionalism.
  • Office experience with proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with CRM tools is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills including phone etiquette and written correspondence.
