Description:

The position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room.
This facility has 351 licensed beds.
There are 11 operating rooms, including 9 main ORs and 2 specialized rooms.
An average of 30 surgeries are performed daily.
Common procedures include orthopedic, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, urology, gynecology, general surgery, and thoracic surgery.
Limited pediatric experience is necessary, as the patient population is mainly adults.
The facility performs over 700 surgeries per month.
The RN will work with residents as it is a teaching facility.
The department includes support from charge RNs and service leads.
A perioperative educator is available for assistance.
The EMR used is EPIC.
Technology includes robotic surgery equipment.
The RN may be required to float to another campus if needed.
Weekend rotation is every other weekend.
Call is only required for cardiovascular cases and is limited to the day procedures are performed.
Response time for call is 30 minutes or less.
The RN will work holidays as needed, approximately 75% of the time.
