Position: Charge Nurse (2nd shift)

Charge Nurse (2nd Shift) – Pennybyrn

Schedule: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Options: full-time, part-time, or PRN.

Responsibilities: Perform duties within the scope of practice as defined by the NC Nursing Practice Act, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting on patient care plans within skilled nursing or short‑term stay households. Promote and model person‑directed care in alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

Pay Rate Scale:

  • LPNs: $26 – $30 per hour
  • RNs: $30 – $35 per hour

Shift Differentials:

  • $2.00 for weekday 2nd and 3rd shifts
  • $1.50 for weekend 1st shift
  • $3.50 for weekend 2nd and 3rd shifts

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current, in‑good‑standing nursing license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Previous experience with geriatric residents preferred
  • Good physical and mental health
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods
  • Ability to assist with lifting, turning, and positioning residents in excess of 100 lbs.
  • Ability to push and manipulate equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
