Position: Charge Nurse (1st shift)

Charge Nurse – Pennybyrn Retirement Community

Location:

High Point, NC

Schedule:

7:00 am – 3:00 pm (Full‑time, part‑time, or PRN). Eligible for benefits and differential pay.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing duties in accordance with the NC Nursing Practice Act, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting on patient care plans for skilled nursing or short‑term stays.
  • Promote and model person‑directed care aligned with the organization’s mission and core values.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high‑quality resident care.
  • Assist with lifting, turning, and positioning residents (up to 100 lb.) and manipulate equipment (up to 50 lb.).
  • Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for residents.
Pay & Shift Differentials
  • LPN: $26 – $30 per hour
  • RN: $30 – $35 per hour

Shift Differentials

  • $2.00 for weekday 2nd and 3rd shifts
  • $1.50 for weekend 1st shift
  • $3.50 for weekend 2nd and 3rd shifts

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Currently licensed as a Nurse in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Previous experience with geriatric residents preferred
  • Good physical and mental health; able to walk and stand for long periods
  • Must be able to lift, turn, and position residents in excess of 100 lb.
  • Must be able to push and manipulate equipment in excess of 50 lb.
