Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Stepdown (Nights)
Location: 35219 High Point Medical Center, High Point, NC – Cardiac Telemetry Unit (18‑bed intermediate care unit)
Schedule: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am shifts with weekend rotation, 36 hours per week
Pay Range: $34.90 – $52.35 per hour

Position Highlights:

Cardiac Telemetry – monitoring cardiac rhythms for patients with heart failure, post‑pacemaker insertion, post‑catheterization, post‑ablation, BiPAP, occasional tracheostomy, post‑op carotid endarterectomy, post‑op CABG, and intermediate patients transferred from ICUs. - Location Advantage:
High Point Medical Center is a 351‑bed, private, non‑profit facility accredited as a Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI; certified as a Primary Stroke Center. - Relocation Assistance:
Available for qualifying candidates. - Certification Coverage:
Company pays for up to 183 nursing certifications (ANCC). - Clinical Nurse Credentialing Pathway (CNCP):
Incentivized program rewarding ongoing education, certifications, and engagement.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of RN experience.
- Graduate of a Board‑of‑Nursing‑approved nursing education program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Active, unrestricted RN license (multi‑state compact or single‑state) with privileges in the state(s) of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
- Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation—to all patients from admission to post‑discharge.
- Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team for optimal outcomes.
- Uphold and promote a culture of safety and quality improvement.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to clinical protocols.
- Communicate effectively, provide feedback, resolve conflicts, delegate appropriately, and foster teamwork.
- Pursue professional development, complete required education, and maintain certifications.
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics and practice ethical decision‑making.
- Delegate care appropriately to RN, LPN, nurse assistants, and other unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
- Be willing to float to other units, departments, or facilities within the service area as needed.
- Demonstrate age‑specific knowledge and skills appropriate for patients across the lifespan.
