VP of Operations

A small, private company has retained me to help them find a VP of Operations. This is a new role open due to growth and executive commitment to transforming their manufacturing.

This is a very rare opportunity for a high potential Plant / Site Manager to expand their skillset to include multisite with an international footprint.

The company is a top international supplier of safety equipment. They continue to assemble small, regional players with strong brands and a reputation for the highest quality. They have a significant online B2B storefront presence.

Responsible for manufacturing plants in the US and Canada.

Travel: 40%-50%. Open to some hybrid.

• Role is open through growth & strategic direction to establish CI culture
• Jump into multisite with international footprint
• Opportunity to participate in M&A due diligence & integration. No silos here.
• New role, small company: greater opportunity to set direction and influence organization
• PE owner is very invest and grow oriented
• Not a turn around
• At the very beginning of their Lean/ CI journey: lots of low hanging fruit

• Site leadership, several years including budget and strategy development
• Experience with transforming supply chains from batch to single piece flow
• Environments of interest include manual assembly, low volume/ high mix
• Some continuous run, high capital, high reliability manufacturing exposure would be nice too
• Multisite preferred, NOT required. International preferred, NOT required.
• BS Engineering, Supply Chain, Business. MBA preferred.
