SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all maintenance activities within our dairy manufacturing plant to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and coordinate activities of technicians engaged in repair, maintenance, installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and maintain buildings and grounds.
  • Coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment used in production.
  • Manage plant infrastructure maintenance, including building utilities, HVAC, and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies to minimize downtime and facilitate timely repairs.
  • Engage in waste reduction, including reducing machine downtime and improving throughput.
  • Establish and maintain communication across shifts and departments, including shift notes, in-person pass-downs, and shift meetings.
  • Support SQF by maintaining food safety and quality through completing job tasks and keeping the work area sanitary.
  • Must be on-call to handle maintenance emergencies during off-shift hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • Electrical experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, lift 50-60 lbs, and handle dairy liquids in a cooler room. Exposure to noise levels up to 90 dB and wet/slippery conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work in a cooler room with varying temperatures and dairy liquids. Exposed to moderate/high noise levels and wet/slippery conditions.
