Overview
Akkodis is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a long-term W2 contract position with a client in Greensboro, NC
.
*** No Corp-to-Corp;
No C2C;
No Referrals from C2C ***
Rate Range: $40.00/hour to $45.00/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Supplier Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Conduct supplier process audits and follow‑up visits to ensure compliance with APQP deliverables.
- Communicate regularly with manufacturing manager and supplier quality teams regarding APQP progress, PPAP status, and project roadblocks.
- Perform quality assurance activities to verify suppliers meet engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
- Review and analyze corrective action reports and drive actions to reduce or eliminate defects.
- Decide when suppliers are approved and permitted to begin shipping production parts.
- This position does require 60% travel.
- 2 years of relevant supplier quality, manufacturing, or automotive industry experience.
- Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality processes.
- Able to travel
