Answer incoming calls and e‑mails from consumers, customers, and sales reps to take orders, answer inquiries, address complaints, troubleshoot problems, and provide product information. Assist with shipping department activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Become familiar with how inventory is accounted and tracked daily. Daily schedule production of various machines to ensure shipments are met. Assist with accounts payable tasks to ensure invoices are processed and paid timely.

Our High Point, North Carolina facility utilizes approximately 55 employees through 2 shifts and multiple value streams. The site specializes in producing polyurethane foam while shipping finished goods across the southeast. As a key location within FXI's manufacturing network, the High Point plant is known for its strong focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement. Team members work in a collaborative, supportive environment where innovation and learning from others plays a central role.
Responsibilities- Respond to consumer, customer, and sales representatives' telephone and email inquiries professionally.
- Provide consumers, customers and sales reps with product and service information.
- Communicate delivery times, issues, and customer concerns/complaints.
- Complete order entry, update customer files, invoicing, and shipping of products.
- Analyze customer service problems, assist operations with production and shipping schedules, and help maintain accurate inventory of product.
- Maintain customer service standards and practices for exceeding customer expectations.
- Obtain necessary information to set up new customers.
- Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration between all departments to meet shipping schedules.
- Accurately code and process invoices.
- Clear open receipts at month end to relieve the GF/IR balance.
- Handle vendor and internal inquiries promptly.
- May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
- Manage month end closing processing.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent data entry skills a must.
- ERP/MRP experience required; SAP and Kofax preferred.
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal communication and written skills.
- Previous Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Minimum 2 years customer service required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including presenting information, comprehending, and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing correspondence and memos, and knowing commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
- Ability to apply common sense practices to carry out detailed oral or written instruction.
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in continuously changing situations.
- Possess a sense of urgency and take ownership of assigned projects while able to work independently.
