Electrician

We’re hiring for an Electrician to join a global manufacturer based in Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak, to wire and test electrical control panels in a modern heavy engineering workshop.

 * £33,000 - £38,000 per annum

* 4-day workweek

* Day shifts: 7:30am – 4:30pm Monday - Thursday

* Overtime available at an enhanced rate

What will you be doing as an Electrician?

* Assembling and connecting a kit of electromechanical components and testing

* Building, wiring & testing electrical control panels

* Fitting electrical panels, wiring & testing electro-mechanical wire-roped hoists

* Undertaking of electrical fault finding where required

* Using engineering best practice, Electrical Schematics, Mechanical Drawings and Electrical Works Instructions to ensure that work produced conforms to relevant drawing specifications/tolerances or limits

* Ensure that all calibrated equipment used during assembly operations is in good condition and within calibration date

What do you need?

* Time served to NVQ3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

* Have experience of working as an electrician within heavy manufacturing

* The ability to read and work from engineering drawings and electrical schematics

* Experience with 3 phase electrical systems and control panels

* Experience with frequency Inverters and PLC’s
