As a Post Office Counter Clerk working within a One Stop convenience store, you play a vital dual role in delivering essential postal services and supporting the wider retail environment. You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing friendly, efficient service across a range of products including mail handling, financial services, and retail transactions. You’ll also contribute to the store’s overall customer experience, supporting colleagues, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and helping with general store duties when needed.
Responsibilities- Deliver excellent customer service and support.
- Process sales of postage, packaging and retail items.
- Handle mail and parcels, including weighing, franking and dispatch.
- Carry out financial transactions and banking services.
- Promote and advise on postal and financial products.
- Maintain accurate records and balance tills.
- Follow security, compliance and data protection procedures.
- Support general administrative and stock control tasks.
- Friendly, knowledgeable about products and services.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable working with cash and sensitive documents.
- Ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Use of customer service best practice and store processes.
- Capacity to support general store duties and teamwork.
